Registration for this year’s Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s 39th Annual NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show Educational Program is now open. AASP/NJ has announced the slate for the association’s flagship event, taking place March 18, 19 and 20, 2016 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (MEC) in Secaucus, NJ.

The NORTHEAST 2016 Educational Program will kick off with the SCRS East Coast Resolution Forum and Leadership Meeting on Friday afternoon, March 18, followed later in the night by the highly-anticipated return of Collision Advice’s Mike Anderson, who will present “Positioning Yourself in the Collision Repair Industry” courtesy of Axalta Coating Systems. Friday’s packed line-up also includes the NORTHEAST-exclusive “AASP/NJ Presents: Advanced Material Repair in 2016 & Beyond,” a three-part discussion featuring Reliable Automotive Equipment’s Dave Gruskos, P&L Consultants’ Larry Montanez and the Aluminum Association’s Doug Richman. Back by popular demand from last year’s show, John Niechwiadowicz of QLC, Inc. and Jerry McNee of Ultimate Collision Repair will present “Maximize Your Estimates!,” continuing their drive toward the goal of writing a complete and accurate estimate that captures all of the billable operations reasonably and realistically needed to repair a damaged vehicle.

NORTHEAST’s second day will start with two I-CAR courses: “Vehicle Technology and Trends 2015 (NEW16)” and “2015 Ford F-150 Structural Repair Training Course (FOR06)” followed by presentations and demonstrations from every facet of the industry, including Sherwin Williams’ “Competing With the Talking Car – Virtual Steering,” National AutoBody Research (NABR)’s “Variable Rate Systems,” Collision Hub’s “Photo Estimating Comes to the Northeast” and Ford’s “2015 F-150 Aluminum Repair Information.” Saturday will also feature the NORTHEAST exclusive “Body Shop Certification and You: An OEM Panel Discussion,” a two-part seminar moderated by Assured Performances’ Aaron Clark and featuring representatives from Audi, Honda, Ford, Nissan and additional OEMs to be announced. The discussion will focus on the ins and outs of getting started on an OEM certification program, and what to do once you’re on it. Mike Anderson also steps up to the plate again on Saturday to present “Who Pays for What?,” sponsored by Axalta Coating Systems. Find out the truth of who pays for what, based on quarterly surveys conducted by Mike and the CRASH Network. You’ll walk away with more knowledge about what insurers will and will not pay for and how to use these survey results to justify not-included labor operations.

This is just a hint of what AASP/NJ has in store for the region’s repairers. The NORTHEAST show will be running continuous seminars and demos throughout the weekend. Seating for the seminars at NORTHEAST is limited and registration is first come, first served. For the full NORTHEAST Educational Program schedule, go to aaspnjnortheast.com/seminars-demos.shtml.
