The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of NJ (AASP/NJ) announced the winner of the first-ever NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show Exhibitor Booth Giveaway Contest last week. Trenton’s Central Paint, one of the show’s sponsors and biggest supporters, won in a competition featuring over 130 vendors which offered a free booth to the exhibiting company who brought in the largest number of online pre-registrants.

“We were thoroughly happy with the NORTHEAST show this year, and all our associated companies were extremely satisfied as well,” says Tom Smetanka, general manager of Central Paint. “There was a fantastic turnout and it was an all-around great event for all involved. We’re very glad to be coming back, and winning the free booth is a fantastic bonus. I’m already looking forward to working together to make NORTHEAST 2015 even better!”

Each NORTHEAST exhibitor received an exclusive code to give to their customers. Those who registered online to attend NORTHEAST 2014 typed in the code in a special field on the registration form. After the show, AASP/NJ tabulated the entries and Central Paint outdistanced Auto Body Distributing by a slight margin.

“We thought we’d try something new to encourage our vendors to get the word out to their customers to pre-register,” AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell says. “Based on our record attendance, I have to say it worked. I’m very happy for Central Paint. They were crucial to our efforts in arranging the Chip Foose appearance with BASF, so it’s kind of fitting. Judging by this year’s response, it looks like all our vendors certainly enjoyed this friendly competition.”

NORTHEAST 2015 takes place March 20, 21 and 22, 2015 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ.
