AASP/NJ’s NORTHEAST™ 2010 Online Registration for Mandatory Seminars Now Open
With a slew of new mandatory state and federal regulations coming into effect in the near future, the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) has scheduled several training seminars at this year’s NORTHEAST™2010 automotive repair trade show at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (MEC) in Secaucus.
The 33rd edition of AASP/NJ’s NORTHEAST™ show will take place March 19, 20, and 21, 2010. Free registration is now open at www.aaspnjnortheast.com.
Highlighting the slate is training on EPA Paint Stripping & Miscellaneous Surface Coating Operations Rule, being presented by the EPA’s Deborah Craig. The course, which will offer training certification, prepares shop owners and painters for the new EPA regulations scheduled to go into effect in early 2011. The training will be available in group and individual sessions.
AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant, who will present the NJ Auto Body License Law Compliance Seminar, will provide mandatory training information to New Jersey collision repairers. This class will review the entire compliance section of the New Jersey Auto Body License Law that NJ-MVC investigators look at during compliance inspections and explain to attendees how they can become compliant. Attendees of the meeting will also be given a full package that will include forms and step-by-step instructions on how to come into full compliance.
These two seminars will be joined by two I-CAR courses – Advanced Material Damage Analysis (DAM08), and Vehicle Technology and Trends (NEW10) – as well as informative presentations on topics such as drying waterborne paint; legal perspectives on auto insurance, DV and fraud; hindsight perspectives on insurer litigation; P-Page Logic; collision repair issues today; airbag electrical systems troubleshooting; diagnostic drivability, healthcare and its effect on business owners and food safety. Paint manufacturers DuPont, PPG and Sherwin-Williams will also be on hand for eye-opening seminars on paint application and waterborne products, and the renowned “Fat Margins: Pricing for Profit” workshop will be running three times on Saturday, March 20 to help every facet of the industry – from collision and mechanical repairers to gasoline/
C-store professionals – become more profitable in their everyday operations.
NORTHEAST™ 2010 will take place March 19, 20 & 21 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. For information regarding NORTHEAST™ 2010 or to pre-register for free, please visit www.aaspnjnortheast.com.
