The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) will hold their 2015 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 28th at the Gran Centurions Banquet Hall in Clark, NJ. The event will begin at 6:30 pm with a cash bar, leading into a 7:00 pm dinner.
AASP/NJ is taking a different approach this year by hosting an “Industry Overview” instead of the speaker presentations they have held in the past. “We decided to make this year’s meeting something of an open forum,” Jeff McDowell, president of the association said from his shop in Fords. “In the past, we typically ran though an awards ceremony, an association update, dinner and then one or two featured presenters. This year, we felt we needed to get to the issues much quicker, so after a few awards, we will get right to our program.”
AASP/NJ plans to give a brief synopsis of the group’s activities and then open up the meeting to many of the topics cited in their recent state survey. A question and answer period will follow.
“I think our members will welcome a chance to speak publicly about a lot of the problems they are having in today’s automotive repair world,” McDowell adds. “Things are changing so rapidly, sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. This meeting will attempt to help our shops try and avoid that.”
The registration deadline for the event is Monday, October 26. The cost for this is event is $50 for members and $75 for non-member guests.
