Former AASP/NJ President Brings “Cars & Coffee” Show to New Jersey

Tom Elder, former president and current Treasurer of the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ), is taking part in bringing the popular “Cars and Coffee” concept to New Jersey starting this Saturday, April 29 at the Knob Hill Country Lanes in Manalapan. “Cars and Coffee” is an informal get together for people with interesting cars to share their hobby in a nice relaxing atmosphere.

“The concept of ‘Cars and Coffee,’ I believe, started on the west coast,” Elder says. “It’s a Sunday morning car show designed with the busy family life in mind. The thought behind it is to find a time to enjoy the car hobby without taking a whole day or weekend. Anyone with an antique, special interest, exotic, hot rod, custom, retro rod or any other nice car of any year is encouraged to come out. I invite you to have some coffee and laughs while checking out some really cool cars!”

The event will run 7:30am – 11am with plenty of coffee and snacks for attendees. Elder says he hopes this will be the beginning of a new tradition. “We are looking to do this on a monthly basis throughout the spring, summer and fall. We think it will be something a lot of people will be interested in and we invite all car enthusiasts as well as spectators to stop by.”

Next month’s “Cars and Coffee” will take place Sunday, May 27 at the same location. For more information including an event schedule, please visit www.carsandcoffeenj.com.
