One of the insurance industry’s latest controversial practices is becoming a reality in the Northeast market. Photo estimating applications and programs from the largest insurers in New Jersey are close to becoming the norm, and the estimates that stem from these claims are burdening shops all around the state.

But help is on the way! The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s 39th Annual NORTHEAST 2016 Automotive Services Show is proud to bring Kristen Felder of Collision Hub to this year’s event with a demonstration on the push towards photo-only damage appraisals, which will outline why certain insurance companies are fighting for these types of programs and what the consequences are – both good and bad – for repair shops and insurers. Scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at 10:30am, this one-hour presentation, entitled “Photo Estimating Comes to the Northeast,” is already gaining a lot of buzz from repairers in the industry.

“Photo estimating is becoming more and more popular in New Jersey,” says AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “We’re excited to have such an expert in the field come to discuss this trend with us. Kristen has always been a huge supporter of NORTHEAST and we can’t wait to hear what she has to say on this topic. Her experience and knowledge through her work with Collision Hub are second to none. We’re honored to have her as one of our featured guests.”

NORTHEAST 2016 will occur March 18-20 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ.
