The NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show’s annual Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS)/Alliance of Automotive Service Providers/New Jersey (AASP/NJ) East Coast Resolution Forum & Leadership Meeting will be getting a new format at this year’s event, according to SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg. This year’s Forum takes place Friday March 21 at 1pm immediately prior to the NORTHEAST 2014 Automotive Services Show being held March 21, 22 and 23, 2014 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center (MEC) in Secaucus, NJ.

The Forum traditionally welcomes state automotive association representatives from around the country to provide updates on their organizations’ activities as well as share industry news with their peers. The Northeast Leadership Forum has always provided an exceptional outlet to network and learn from other state and regional associations who are facing very similar issues.

“We are going to freshen up our longstanding collaboration without changing the purpose of the Forum,” Schulenburg says. “Instead of the traditional ‘show and tell’ format, we are going to take a more direct approach to common problems and trends each association is dealing with. With this new format, we think we’ll be in a better position to answer questions as well as offer solutions on how to successfully keep our associations moving forward.”

Instead of the common “classroom” style setup of previous years’ Forums, the 2014 meeting will have a roundtable setup, in which each group is asked to come to the room with a question they want the others to answer, rather than something they want to share. “This allows those with successful stories to share them and hopefully inspire conversation that will benefit all who attend,” notes Schulenburg.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended for the East Coast Resolution Forum & Leadership Meeting. Attendees can register at www.aaspnjnortheast.com/events.shtml. NORTHEAST 2014, the flagship event of the association’s New Jersey affiliate (AASP/NJ), is celebrating its 37th year as the East Coast’s preeminent automotive services trade show.
