On Monday, May 20, over 100 golfers will gather to take part in the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ)’s ninth annual Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing. The event pays tribute to the former Board member and influential part of the group while also raising money for a scholarship in his name. The outing will take place at the Colonia Country Club in Colonia, NJ.

As AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant explains, this year’s players will be joined by dozens of vendors participating in the outing. “Every year, the golf outing gets better and better,” he says. “It gives everyone a day to relax, have some fun and interact as well as raise money in the name of a great person who dedicated so much time to making this industry better.”

Nine years into the event, AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell says the Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing has become a tradition for many who attend. “I think Lou would be very proud of what we accomplish every year in his name,” he states. “It’s a great time, a great course and most importantly, a great cause. We look forward to seeing everyone come out and have a fun afternoon.”

The Lou Scoras Memorial Golf Outing begins with an 11:30am lunch followed by a 1:00pm shotgun start. A dinner with dozens of prizes completes the event after the tournament.
