Longtime NORTHEAST™ exhibitor Ikotec (www.ikotecusa.com) has announced that it will hold a special Silent Auction at this year’s show (held March 8-10 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus) in support of the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The item up for auction is the new IKOTEC 1000.

Ikotec representative Conrad Egerter is pleased to award the new lift to the attendee who bids the greatest amount to help those in need. “Hurricane Sandy is still on everybody’s mind,” he says. “There are still people having a hard time; there are still some shops that are still not up and running. That’s how this auction came to be.”AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell is thrilled that Ikotec is reaching out to the locals who were struck by Sandy. “As someone who was personally affected by the storm, I am touched by Ikotec’s plan to help,” he says. “As an association, it’s even more gratifying to see our industry step up to help those in need.”

A portable air-over hydraulic scissor wheel lift, the IKOTEC 1000 weighs approximately 140 pounds and easily locks in place to ensure complete safety. “The lift is completely out of the way in the spray booth because it’s under the tire and wheel,” offers Egerter. “It gives complete access for just about any kind of painting. It’s also safe, because there’s no chance of a spark with an air-over hydraulic lift.”
