Final Cars and Coffee New Jersey Event of Season to Benefit Antique Auto Museum, Give Back Foundation

Cars and Coffee New Jersey, the popular social event for classic car enthusiasts, will hold its final event of 2012 this Sunday, October 21 at the Knob Hill Golf Club in Manalapan, NJ. The season’s last gathering will include a 50/50 to benefit the Antique Automobile Museum of New Jersey and will also donate a portion of the proceeds to the Give Back Foundation of Monmouth County.

“We thought we’d end the year with a special occasion,” Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) Treasurer and former President Tom Elder, one of the founders of the event’s NJ chapter, says. “What better way to celebrate all we’ve accomplished in such a short time than by donating to charities that mean so much to us? The Museum is an amazing place to visit, and the Give Back Foundation – which helps residents of Mercer, Monmouth, Middlesex, Burlington and Ocean counties in New Jersey who suffer from life altering circumstances – is an incredible group doing wonderful things. We are honored to be able to help out both of these great organizations.”

This week’s Cars and Coffee attendees will receive a t-shirt and lunch, as the usual morning gathering will be held a little later, from 10am to 2pm. The entry fee is $20.

Cars and Coffee is a Sunday morning car show designed with the busy family life in mind. Its intent is to bring people together who enjoy the car hobby without taking a whole day or weekend. Anyone with an antique, special interest, exotic, hot rod, custom, retro rod or any other nice car of any year is encouraged to attend.

As the season comes to an end, Elder reflects on how far Cars and Coffee New Jersey has come in such a short time. “We knew this was a great concept,” he says, “but we just didn’t know how well it would work out in our area. We are incredibly pleased at the success we’ve had over the last six months and we look forward to building on that in the spring of 2013. I hope everyone turns out this Sunday to see not only what we’re all about, but also what we’ve accomplished. It’s been a rewarding experience for myself and everyone who has been involved.”
