AASP/NJ Schedules Structural Repair Training Classes

The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) have scheduled two structural repair training seminars in August and September, kicking off the start of the group’s Fall educational slate.

“We are trying to get a jump on our training schedule by announcing the dates this early,” AASP/NJ Executive Director Charles Bryant says. “Hopefully by getting the word out now, we will see a great turnout at the end of August and in early September.”

The “Procedures for Proper Structural Repair” training course will be presented by Larry Montanez of P&L Consultants LLC. Montanez is a well-known former I-CAR instructor. Topics that will be covered include: Damage Analysis, Triage Process, EME 54Theory©, Repair Decisions, Anchoring, Measuring and Structural Realignment. “More importantly,” Bryant adds, “everyone who completes the course will receive a training certificate that will qualify for 2010 renewal of New Jersey Auto Body License, which is due by the end of September.”

The classes will be held in both the north and southern regions of the state. The north meeting will take place Thursday, September 9, at the Holiday Inn in Totowa at 7pm. The south meeting will be Thursday, August 26 at the Quality Inn in Toms River.

“We are looking forward to expanding our slate this year,” says Bryant. “More training will be announced shortly. With our industry, it literally pays to stay ahead of the game. These types of training classes allow our members to do just that.”
